Sirens woke me up at 3am
The silent kind
Haven’t you heard?
Maybe it was just alarm
At being awake and arrested
With limbs trapped to a bed
That no longer offers rest
For a mind that knows 3 am too well
An hour with nothing nice to say
But if morning rises
So will I
