The Wall Street Journal
Fallen but not forgotten.
A beautiful woman,
the princess of R&B
with an amazing voice
whom many look up to.
She dances, circling her hips
and moving her arms
to the beats of soulful music.
With tears, I sing along
to the melodies I hear on MTV
Before Aaliyah’s death,
people around the world honored her,
and continue to do so today.
A tragic accident caused eight deaths including Aaliyah.
She has fallen but will never be forgotten.
I send my love to the families
who lost their loved ones
in the tragic accident.
Aaliyah forever, now, The Guardian Angel
of hip hop and R&B.
