Shatters
There was no telling when it would get here
All we knew is it would
Descend from the sky
Tear everything we knew to pieces
It has come
All that is left of our homes are planks of wood
Glass is shattered on the ground
The shutters where blown off
Shingles lay on the ground
There’s a crack right down the road
The school house is split in half
As if someone took a knife and sliced it right down the center
Our fields of crops have been destroyed
Everything we know is gone
We have to rebuild
We have to have faith
