"We all can be only what we are, nothing more, or less."- Sword of Truth (Kahlan)

I whispered my sorrows,

With the hope that tomorrow,

Would make you see me in a brand new light.

Maybe even set things right.

Cause I'm left in the dark,

To cry and to bark,

But I know what awaits me when light begins to dawn,

So no longer do I long,

To leave my dark place.

Only here can I dream of your grace.

One leg has failed me,

So you laugh as I crawl on my remaining three.

With scars too many to count,

You find new ways to surmount.

Drive me to the ground,

With every fist and every pound.

Dearest owner, I'm sorry if I displeased you.

I don't know what I did but surely the fault is on me,

And now that I'm turning black and blue,

I hope you'll let these old bones free.

I'm there for you always,

Though my body has long since frayed.

And now that I'm passing through these torturous hallways,

I wish you'd show this weakened dog some aid.
