Soda Pop
Soda
Contained
A whisper
Let out
A warning on the front
Warning of the fire
A fire inside
An explosion
On my tongue
Fire
In my body
Dripping
On the side
Moisture builds
Another sip
Repetition
Never gets old
Dynamite
Every time
Rocketing
To the moon
Soda
I wrote this poem shortly after I watched my teacher's soda explode as she opened it one afternoon. The rest was all about imagining the experience more fully, putting myself right into the scene.
