Window
They all see right through me
Some don’t see me at all
Because I’m not what I could be
but watch how I make the mighty fall
  They don’t see my potential
or the road I could take
  but seeing is essential
for the right assumption to make
  From shards of pain
  to something worthy of admiration
  and protection from the rain
  all based on your connotation
  Through me they see
something I’m never given credit for
but the ability to be free
  leaves them wanting more
  I am highly influential
  and I’m easy to break
but breaking me can be highly consequential
  revealing your grave mistake
Your touch is likely to leave a stain
  no matter the location
and the mark could drive you insane
  until the end confrontation
It may seem hard and cold
  notice by just an innuendo
but a run in would be bold
as if I were a window

I was told to write from the perspective of a window, being the window, looking through it, anything. I'm not sure what inspired me to go in this direction with this piece.
