He left when my limbs were still growing
and my brain was still brightening
and when I had not yet said goodbye.

a requiem for a Man
who honored by all
and despised by people
who never were half the man of Him.

His intelligence sheltered
by a humble wall of strength,
and sadly His greatness went ingrate,

but this is an elegy for a Man who
did not have His time, no,
it was not His time.
sure He had his time to brighten and grow

but alI i want to do
is stare at a wall, lamenting over the fact that His soul
sank too soon.

My grandpa tragically passed away a few months ago. I wrote this to honor his spirit.
