You probably had beautiful hair,
black or brown, possibly blonde in the light.
Your favorite color was blue or green
or maybe yellow, who knows?
I have a memory of your voice,
but it was so long ago that it might just be a
cartoon character’s slow drawl that I’m thinking of.
You said, “Please don’t forget me.”
But it was so dark outside,
that I couldn’t remember the color of your eyes.
