I am a child, a little girl
I am a child, a little girl.
The little girl that blows out dandilions,
the little girl that writes her name on the bed frame,
The little girl who draws silly pictures of mommy and daddy.
The little girl who counts sheep to fall asleep.
The little girl who eats cough drops like there candy.
The little girl who swings on swings, dreaming of flying.
The little girl that sings as she brushes her hair before nighttime.
The little girl who cringes at the taste of coffee.
The little girl whos been through enough but wont even know it until she grows up.
I was once a child, a little girl,
Now I wish I could go back,
To blowing out dandelions.
