Take a breath
sing a song
dance all night
you’ve got it
wrong
always smile
just keep going
you can do it
never stop rowing
take a leap
into a pit
that never ends
unless in despair
jump around
pound the ground
shout to the clouds
they’ll never hear you
think a lot
never tie the knot
you’re a kid
so just stop
believing
never think
to look ahead
on what never
lies before you
you’ll get it wrong
again
so stop listening
to this poem
if you have hope
because hope
is a friend
that often leaves
never worry
never doubt
they’ll never leave
your side
until the spark of hope lights them on fire
and they’ll either
disappear
or light up
brighter
you can never
trust hope
because hope will let
you down
