What is Poetry?
What is poetry?
Everything
Poetry can be passionate;
It can be sincere;
And it can be insightful;
But what most people aren't aware of,
Or rather,
What they do not wish to admit,
Is that poetry can also be empty;
It can be dark;
It can be cold;
It can be destructive.
Poetry can be used to convey the most sincere confessions of love
Or to reveal the darkest thoughts of hatred.
Poetry is everything
And everything is poetry.
