I could choose this way

to go with the sun

There was only one fish in the sea

so why did you choose me?

running on air

dancing through water

raindrops of salt

fall on  my lips

but I can't seem to cry

words leap and swirl

off of an outsretched palm

the ink from your heart

takes flight in my head

This was originally a collection of "idea phrases" that I wrote down on scratch paper (intending to have them each in their separate poem), but when I re read I realized that they had become a poem.
