Unheard
  So long ago ‘twas
  that I stopped, could hardly
remember why I did at all
  Well

  what is the point
  of speaking your mind when
  No one would listen

  what is the point
  of forming words, sentences when
  They’ll just go unheard

  what is the point
  of elocution when
  You’re just talking to yourself

  what is the point
  of voicing thoughts when
  There’s no one to heed

And what indeed is the point
  To even trying
When words won’t come out of my mouth

This poem is for all the people who feel like they are not heard. Never heard.
I shall listen.
