Birthday Surprise
What happened?
Where did it come from?
This was supposed to be awesome
It was meant to be fun
But this was a nightmare
Diverting from the dream
My family and friends creeping across the floor
I wanted to scream
But I knew that if I did
They would find me
They were attracted to sound
I knew when they ate the crying baby
My boyfriend was on my la
Bleeding out from a bite
I knew he would soon turn
I knew he wouldn’t last the night
But I couldn’t be alone
It was too much for me to handle
Fighting off the undead
By myself, I would need a miracle
But just as I had given up hope
Just when they approached the door
I heard gunshots
Silence. I couldn’t hear them anymore
Then a man burst in
Equipped with all sorts of weapons
He looked down at my boyfriend and I
And told us his name was Evan
I begged him to help us
He examined the bite
Then shot my boyfriend in the head
“Come on! This isn’t the end of the fight!”
He dragged me away
And drove us through town
What I saw when we stopped
Made my legs give out. I fell to the ground
The undead were everywhere
Feeding on the living
Everything I had ever known
Had suddenly stopped existing
“We can keep each other safe,” He said
Handing me a gun
A hoard of them came towards us
“S***,” he said, “This should be fun.”
He dropped his weapons
Which I found to be quite odd
He killed them all with his bare hands
It was truly an act of God
He turned back to me
With an eye in his teeth
“I’m one of them, you see
But much better. They are beneath me”
We got some gas
And were on our way
This was just the beginning
Man, what a horrible birthday.
