Summer, No school, no more homework,
feeling happy, excited to see my old friends

Tubing, breezes on the pontoon,
touching weeds, smelling the fish
and going fishing with my dad at mid day

Swimming, the warm sun tanning my skin,
going to the park, kayaking w/ friends

meeting new people, grumpy old lady… thinking
i'm on her property, but this is a public access

A quick passing storm scaring my dog,  
great time for finding worms for fishing
and riding my bike through the puddle when it done

Bonfires, the smell of rising smoke, fish fires,
walking at night by the lakes, feeling the lakes breeze,
feeling relaxed, staying up late
