I Read Too Much
I think I read too much
So much so that when a Wonder-ful Woman came to me
Wanting to be my princess
I ran so fast
Like a Flash
She couldn't keep up
Or was it that she wasn't able to hold her breath long enough
To be with an Aqua Man
Who was so used to breathing
In an ocean of doubt?
I want to be Super
Man I wish people would stop using my weakness against me!
How bright does my Lantern have to shine
To make this world less dark?
The Green light of my will
That is becoming more and more dim every day
From the fear of others' burning hatred
I've replaced much of myself with harder parts
Parts that will keep me safe
I guess you could call me a Cyborg
But on the inside
I'm still human
So I tried to become Dark like the Knight
Putting fear into the hearts of my enemies
And it worked for a time
Before they started calling me a Manhunter
Like I was a Martian
Truth is
I'm not a hero
I don't have the power to climb up the Tower
And Watch the people beneath me
There are no leagues for me to join
No justice to be had
So I just read
Incredible fantasies
Cause I'm too scared to face this reality.

I love the Justice League WAY more than I like the Avengers, so I wrote this little poem after the other super hero one. Enjoy!
