Today is...

Today is full

Of the sorrow

That envelops everyday life.

That everyday life has its

Ups and downs but ends

And stars the same.

I open my eyes,

Feel the ache in my heart,

And feel the burdens

Of living.

The sorrows of everyday

Life fill an ocean

Of sorrow in my life.

The tears break free,

Crashing down my walls

That secluded me from society.

I've been taken by the current of the world.

Great emotion! I know exactly the feeling of this. You described it so well, and the imagery is FANTASTIC. My only suggestion is the meter is a little choppy so just watch it.

Hold fast and keep your head up high for life will pass right by you like a speeding bird if you don't acknowledge it- Charles Moorer III (me)

I can feel the tears running down the cheeks of the unknown with this one. Emotion in mere seconds, I love the way you write, short, simple, not all that sweet but that's the point :) I commend you, for I can only write in ways displaying length that way I get alllllllll the emotion I have out, you display the gift of concentration. Keep writing.. The justice has spoken

I can really feel the life breathing in and out of this poem. It is very superb. The imagery is great.
