Deprivation
Tears stream down my face
Hot and salty
I ache down to my soul
A wound that only heals
When my true love is near
I must sneak away to find you
For we can meet only briefly
I wear your memory down
Until I can hardly remember
When I must ignite the flame again
But I must hide you
Forced to live with others,
Who can never compare to you
I drift day by day
Surviving on just enough
My fingers threaten to give way
On this cliff
You carry my soul upon your wings

This was inspired by me falling in love, but not being able to love.
