without/indoubt
listen to the whisper of the wind,
never to hear your voice again.
drifting outside
on the tide of the wind
a ragdoll with messy curls
and sunburnt skin
the moon glistens
and glosses over everything unsaid
as you watch over me
from above
the sky burning
with the stars of lost souls
do you feel me breathing
did you feel me that day
inhaling your last breath
as you lay there inert cold
motionless
did you feel my heart break
splinter into a million tiny
irretrievable pieces
the anxiety twisting my insides
in two
the regret stamping my facial plane
the wail of my voice
echoing for miles on end
do you think the world
felt my pain
when I lost you?
