Shadows are dark.
Shadows are a puzzle.
Shadows creep towards you.
Shadows are hawks,
always watching you .
Shadows are stalkers,
following you everywhere,
even in the night.
Shadows are monsters,
getting bigger and bigger.
Shadows consume you,
leaving nothing but emptiness.
Shadows are things that live
in places that light cannot.
Shadows are copycats,
copying everything you do.
Shadows are everywhere.
Shadows are scary
but no one remembers them.
They are quiet,
never making a sound.
Shadows are zombies
never sleeping.
I am a shadow.

The overwhelming power in this poem is amazing. I really love the way you represent that shadows are so much, yet so disregarded. The lines "Shadows are scary/but no one remembers them" is really incredible. It holds a remarkable contrast: you think you would remember something scary, but that is not the nature of shadows.
