Favorite Quote:
But the heaviest things, I think, are the secrets. They can drown you if you let them.

There’s people everywhere,
yet we attach ourselves,
to a select few.
Based on character,
based on looks,
based on traits.
Then we define a relationship,
a romance.
To narrow down our select few,
down to one.
Based on relatedness,
based on feelings,
based on trust.
Because there are so many people,
because we have selected,
does not mean that we are isolated,
people are still out there,
and they want in.
We’re still breathing the same air,
we may be special,
we can be individual,
but we’re not all there is.
There’s always more people,
they’re everywhere.

The author's comments:

Throughout the ninth grade I had an extreme dislike towards being around people. I thought that having a select group of friends would help with that. But I realized that even if someone dislikes people they're everywhere and there is nothing that we can do about it. We have to learn everyone because as a whole, we're all that we have.
