It's 3am

When you’re young,
3am is foreign to you.
A time only seen by,
Early morning vacation trips,
Bathroom visits,
And bad dreams.
Now, 3am is a friend.
Often visited.
Comforting even.
Going home from a midnight movie,
Pulling an all-nighter, home alone.
But 3am is not always so kind.
3am comes with,
Darkness,
Nightmares,
And thoughts of the end.
