If she was an angel
She wouldn’t be white
She would be red

If she was an angel
Her wings wouldn’t be feathers
They would be flesh

Her skin would be stretched tight
Over her fragile bones

Moonlight would seep through her
As she flew through the night

With every beat of her heart
Her veins would pulse
And her body quake

With every intake of breath
Her lungs would grow
And her ribs crack

Her cry would ring out
And the stars would rattle

Her eyes would be like wild fire
And her eyes the brightest suns

If she was an angel
She would be beautiful
