We Get It MAG
Light twisting through the grass
Filling the green with warmth and love
Roses covered in the ink of beautiful words
Sprout through my ribcage
into a great garden
Old jeans splattered with bubbling paint
And the smell of old book pages
Now, I think I get it
I think I get it now
Entwined pieces of matted hair
Paint a pretty picture on the scarred Earth
Rhymes and jokes found
Written all over our wrists and ankles
The taste of rose lightly lacing the sweet air
Now, I think I get it
I think I get it now
And it becomes easier to get it
When puddles in the grass feel like oceans
And when the sun fills your veins and senses
As it pools through the tree branches
Wildflowers caught in the twists of my hair
Tangling into a beautiful mess
Now, I think you get it
I think you get it now
When the rain comes down
The water feels like hot tears
The beautiful kind
That makes you sing and smile
I feel my bones being wrapped
in leaves and vines
These will never wilt away
Now, we get it
We get it now
