Inner Demon.

My
  only chance to live my life, caught by an
inner
  lie, terrorizes my harsh reality,
demon
  -izing nightmares haunt your beautiful face behind my eyelids,
  my only destiny
is
  coming to an end, the pages of my book are burning, flames
screaming
  what my fate holds, my darkest secrets
at
  the top of smoke filled lungs, scorching
me
  my only memories.

Mentally, sometimes people break down and they can let their inner thoughts run wild, out of their control. But fighting those demons can be painful. -J.
