Hurricane

Millions, Billions, Trillions

of small little insignificant raindrops

all plummeting

towards

the

ground.

Some had the power to really mess things up,

To cause some damage

To leave a mark.

But not like the one I loved.
The one I loved was much more than just a

tiny

particle

of

water.

No,

the one I loved was 107 mile per hour wind.
The kind that not only blows your tiny fragile body away,

the kind that ripped the roof top off of your house

simply tossing it away.

The one I loved came with cold hard rain.
The kind that shatters diamonds

with anything it has to say.

The one I loved was

destructive

and

distraught.

All it wanted was attention;

a cry that called

“Forget me not.”

Yes, compared to me, the one I loved was a

hurricane. I was

drizzle.

And our love, man was it

insane.
