Thoughts 1
I remember walking to a bar where the flashing sign blinded me
About the time people are wrapped in blankets with tear stained pillows
and staying out late talking about the universe just doesn't happen anymore
But we did and I wore that perfume that you said you liked that one time
To see if you'd notice
But before I knew it you were talking about moving to the city
And you left
You never did get to know me like you said you wanted to
So I drove in the night time straight into arms that I knew could not hold me
And maybe if you’d have stayed you'd have had the chance to love me but then
Who am I to deny you of your future

Part of a series of poems I call Thoughts.
I leave out punctuation to show the desperation of the thoughts and how the lines and stories came to me.
