Thoughts 3
I stand on the tips of my toes
Just to be able to see your eyes in all their glory
And I wore that perfume that I know you like
And my bright red lipstick in the colour ‘Malaga’
In the hope that it would make you notice me
Even though you’ll probably overlook me if we ever cross paths
In that big city of yours
And I know I'll never be all the things you need me to be
But maybe one day you'll get up at sunrise
Just to see the way the morning light hits the grass
And in the back of your mind you might see my bright green eyes
Just one more time
