Waiting For The Storm
It’s 2 a.m. as I sit here awake in my cold, quiet room
I hear the thunder as it roars
I see the flashes of lightning shine through my window
As I lay here calm and glum
The sound of the storm makes me feel less alone
For the quiet seems to scare me
Afraid I might hear the voices
The voices in my head
They haunt my mind with worries and thoughts I despise
I feel the thunder start to die and I think I might die with it
The voices start to arise again and taunt me with their fits
Oh how I wish the storm could be heard again
Because now I lie here with the these unbearable feelings
