Consuming You,
Taking over your body with no control
Needing permission for all that you do
No break or freetime, tied down
Eating away at the old you
Slowly losing all that you were
Hiding behind the mask of addiction
People determined to find the real you
When they don’t, they claim you’re ill
And send you away
For others to do what they couldn’t
A constant battle of being clean and running away
Makes it hard for some to stay
