"And though she be but little, she is fierce."- Shakespeare

Her wings felt as tissue paper

In my hand

She fit perfectly into the exact center of my palm

She was beautiful

A breeze blew and her wings fluttered

My heart thumped, a tear slid down

For a mere moment I had hope

The deceased to be alive once more

She was so peaceful; so serene

I felt calm

Even through this heart-breaking tragedy

She was amazing

The closest I had ever been to magic

Was her

And now she is gone

At the fluttering of an eyelash

Her colors are yellow and black

Spray painted by God

Her fuzzy body so very soft

Her intersecting lines were etched, as was her smile

She is lighter than air

Not a pound or ounce to carry

A signle touch means certain death

But she's already dead, so I don't worry

I hold her as her spirit makes its way

Into the heart of Butterfly Kingdom

She can fly there

My heart aches, the tears spill, but I want her to be free

I must let her go

Her spirit cannot be trapped

The portal closes

At midnight

So I say goodbye, farewell

To my little butterfly

I will keep your outer shell forever

I will love you always

Go with peace and love

For you shall always be

My Destiny
