That lurk in the dark
But we are covering up our own crimes
People destroy everything
Gobbling up others happiness
Creating wounds for others to heal
And for the next to reopen later on
There is a reason we make up these tales
Full of evil creatures
We are diverting curious eyes from our ugly reality
The hideous truth that we have hidden for so very long
Humans are monsters
The only monsters
And there’s nothing that can kill us off
No knight or savior of any kind
Nothing that can save us from ourselves
So all we have left is destruction
