The light that once
Shined so bright

The smile that was once
So wide

The laugh that was once
So contagious

The voice that once
Wouldn’t stop

They all just disappeared

She couldn't shine anymore

She couldn't find the energy
To smile anymore

She couldn't find the a reason
To laugh anymore

She couldn’t find a reason
To care anymore

Her voice couldn’t be

Heard anymore

She just stopped
She stopped everything

It was as if
She had lost
The will to do everything

She lost it
She lost all interest

She wasn’t there
Mentally

She was barely there
Physically

She had lost all
Reason to be
Happy

She had only few
That she could
Trust

Even then she felt
So alone
So lost

I hope that this lets people start to truly look at others and see that not everyone is okay and that others are going through stuff.

I love how there was repetition used in the poem with once and couldn’t. “She lost it. She lost everything there. She wasn’t there mentally. She was barely there physically.” Those two stanzas were deep because I know a girl that was once in that position. She was just done with life when her mother passed away. While reading this poem, I could see what she was going through.

I love this poem. I can relate to some parts of this poem with past experiences in my life. The lines "She had only few That she could Trust," reminds me of the people I USE to trust that I just don't feel like I can trust anymore.. Sometimes things change in life and you just have to move on and deal with it.
