Poem I:

And why would I want to try to see
The black and grey spread before me
When if i were to close my eyes
The feelings roll over me like drowning waves
Hurtling me into a abyss of dazed desperation
When i stand on the cliffs and shout into the void
Only to hear a muffled silence.

frustration.

Poem II:

The cold metallic tang on the tip of my finger
The aching of my eyes from the very back of my sockets
The soreness hanging from my eyelashes, dripping unto my frowning face
The repeating mechanical pattern, a distant whoop
Muted stairs up the wooden steps
The meaningless words the hollow lines
Shining above like the synthetic buzzing of artificial lights.

The author's comments:

I was sitting in bed, just another one of those nights that are tinged with boredom and slight depression. hearing muted music out of my windows, feeling hallow. Almost as a subconcious gesture or a form of outlet, I wrote this, not looking at the keyboard, not looking at the screen, but staring into nothingness.
