I wake up each morning
To the sound of birds chirping
Exquisitely Towards the sky
But why
Do I wish instead to hear
The sound of gloom and fear
Of raindrops dropping
One by one
Pitter pattering against my window
I wish, with the rain comes clouds of gray
Thunder yelling at the
Mortals to obey
I wish to hear claps of thunder
Followed moments later
By the sights of lightning
Lightening up the Beyonds
But only to go back to sky's of gray clouds
That drop rain
The rain that pitter patters against my window
Followed by thunder
And yelling
And fright
And more rain
And more tears
And more sadness
And more loneliness
And more lightning to light up the sky
And more gray clouds that cry
The teardrops that pitter patter against my window
And more thunder
But then the clouds begin
To fade away
The sun comes out to play
But I remain cautious
For I know this is the process
And while the day remains
Warm and feels like a friend,
I know the tears that
Pitter patter against my window
Will be back again
As will the thunder
As will the Lightning
Which makes it ever so frightening
