I’m between the floorboards
The smallest increment for a single man
Cold nights will wend to its gentle nature
But, I’ll remain aware of the nearby stranger
Many bellows of pretense to stagger
Bearing no laments, a spine peaks the tatter
Hemlocks address the quietus of a parallel
Crept within the scattered sheet she can’t repel
No blame grows, refined empathy to blind judgement
Old souls will revoke then repeat amends to nothing
Is this but selective patterns or sects?
Inviolate directions to an agonistic complex?
Days do dilute to change, and so will taped love
No adhesive will bring the reef of your smile back above
It will lead to the cause of sins of desperate routine
Gloves of Kevlar may keep my ways of handling unseen
But for now, I’ll break the threshold I’m provided
To a repeated cycle, hopes the sun and dark come to collide
So I give an adieu to the lover in my cross
And clench the rosary beads, look above, and emboss
