Eyes glare piercing stares
They look without seeing
Judge without knowing
I hate to admit it
But I am one of them too.

The vices on TV
The murderous glint of the eyes
Wanting only blood and revenge
The clenched fists hidden behind backs
With a smile
Are things that I see
Reflected back at me
When I look into the mirror.

I guess we’re all broken
When we glance at our reflections
Like a broken dish on a dirty floor

And we’re all hoping
Waiting at bus stops
In the bitter cold
Hoping there is something
Better than this.
