I walk alone
Shame
They look at me
Shame
I look down
Shame
They point
Shame
They accuse
Shame
They mock, and yell, and hate
Shame
I walk alone
Shame
She tries to talk to me
Shame
I look away
Shame
Can’t she see
Shame?
Maybe she doesn’t see
Shame
Because she’s too busy running from
Shame.
