Infatuation
Infatuation is
Singling her out from the crowd
Where her maroon hair flies with the wind
That keeps ruining the hairstyle she tentatively worked on for twenty minutes that morning.
It is noticing the way her smile slightly curves
Producing a smile on your face, while turning away to avoid being noticed.
It is making eye contact for a split second to notice her wandering eyes that remind you of coffee that you did not have that morning but now crave to have between your lips
It is getting close enough to smell her perfume, which stays with you for a little while.
It is wishing you were walking in the same direction, and maybe having the guts to speak to her.
It is wondering what she is thinking about and if she ever feels lonely too.
It is falling in love without the chance of getting to know her, to truly know her.
Infatuation is having to say goodbye at some point, without turning back.
