Um...How Do I Say This?
I’ll spell this out for you
In royal blue and rose gold,
In delicate pinks
The cleanest of whites
And the most fancy aubergine.
I’ll get my point across
In pearl sashes and an ivory trumpet,
In bullet backs and athletic cuts,
In triple tiers and the world’s finest
Caciocavallo Podolico.
I’ll finally find my words
In metallic peep toe pumps
Open toe sling backs
And a pair of Testoni’s.
And on one of those Chardonnay nights
I’ll lean forward and gaze into your eyes
almost as if to say
marry me.

A trumpet is a type of wedding dress, a bullet back is a type of cuff link, athletic cut is a type of suit. Triple tiers is referencing a cake. Podolico is a fancy type of cheese and test on I refers to an expensive line of dress shoes for men. I hope this made the poem a little more clear. Please comment. I would appreciate the feedback.
