Oh Ocean Blue, I Wish I Knew
Her ripples of clear water carry me to sea,
Her liquid lips luring a part of me.
She chokes me with her salty sprays,
Capturing me in shades of greens, blues, and grays.
Rolling waves boom out like thunder,
With splashes that spread an unwavering wonder.
Below the shimmering sun her beauty always beams
She has the night sky in her pocket, knit between the seams.
I listen intently to the secrets that she keeps,
I wish I knew before--the ocean was rolling down her cheeks.
