You and Me
  There was him,
  And there was me,
  But he and I,
  Were never we,
  And what I wanted,
  Would never be.
  Beside me he stood,
  So strong, so tall,
  But between us lied,
  A concrete wall,
  For his feelings,
I seemed not to feel at all.
  He was everything ,
Yet when I thought of us,
  I did not think,
  Of what one must,
  That this love,
  Was only lust.
  Alas when he spoke,
  I could not I hear,
  For I was deaf,
  To words said so clear,
  Ignorant of truths,
  Of which drew so near.
  I was blind,
  I could not see,
  That my desires,
  Were not reality,
  And what was real,
  Left but only me.
