Nights darken
Waving their winds
Rubbing the eyes of the tired
Sleep engulfs
Leaving a trail
Of peace for those who’ve been fired
Child listen
Rest in my arms
Perhaps tomorrow’ll be better
Rock to sleep
They’re coming now
If only you could’ve met her
You’ve been saved
I’ve carried you over
From the ones that gave you nightmares
She was strong
She loved you much
You’ll never know how much she cared
