Loneliness
Loneliness is a sensation that one cannot explain
As if one were stranded in a desert
  Or stuck in a cage
It is a prison in which one cannot see the light
  The sound is muted
He doesn’t sense the happiness around him
He sits in a chair by himself in a dark room
Where only tiny insects surround him
He hears voices but there is nothing there
  He sees imaginary things
  And calls them his friends
He always separates himself from the liveliness
And seeks the peace and quiet
  He reads a book
  Instead of laughing and talking
Loneliness is one of the many sensations
  That cannot be explained
