Skinny, black man
Cruising on the Valley Metro
Rambling on about black God, black heaven, black Savior, black world
I listen to what he says for half an hour.
I’m intrigued.
I put my headphones away
And listen …
Every so often, he hums
“Hhhmmmm”
And when he does you don’t see it coming
It makes you feel good inside.
“Hhhmmmm”
When you think it’s not over, he rings the bell
Ring, ring
The bus stops
He’s gone as quickly as he came.

God is spirit......he can't be touched or seen and nowadays can only be spoken too through prayer.....its our own imaginations which lead us to think of him as a real person by giving him a form and image.......this poem is a beautiful representation of what this poet thinks about God....good work

I really loved this poem.

Its so simlpistic and satisfying it makes you feel full,

even though he leaves you at the edge of a cliff.

This is a really nice write. It makes you think and be curious. Even though it's pretty mysterious, it has a very light-hearted ending. Nice!

I loved this! It had a very strange feeling to it. Like I'm right there, waiting for the man's next move.

It's left open so it can be interpreted in many different ways.

If you could, please read/rate/comment on my poem. PLEASE?
