Fairy Tale Masquerade

They wanted me to go to the masquerade ball
To wear yet another concealing mask,
But they didn’t realize that the princess
Only goes as far as my disguising costume:
A perfectly mysterious fairy tale facade
Beneath which I hide my hate for masquerades.
