Viola
The viola is the dark horse of music. It has an alluring sound, a deep, rich tone, and a mysterious essence. I love how it can sound dainty, wispy, and clean like a crisp spring morning. I love how it also evokes a somber mood like when it rains outside on a cold, windy day. That is why I chose to play it. It helps me express both sides of my personality.

Playing my viola inspired me to write this piece. I love to hear the sound of it, and I feel like it is a beautiful instrument that most people look over. Over the course of the almost 5 years I have been playing it, I realized that it continues to help me express myself. The one thing I hope people will get from my vignette is that music helps everyone express their personality and makes them truly find themselves.
