She reached out
to me sobbing,
sorrow
all I could see
within her.

Other half yet so
distant
she lived,
what I only could do
listen.

Behind the doors
of a
happy family
lies an intoxicated
problem.

Only me
there for her
grasping onto her sobs,
not really
there.

Words of
comfort,
just know I am
here.
