The day you left us my heart broke a thousand times
my hands felt heavy
my throat burning
my eyes tired from crying
the world seemed heavy, strange without your presence
My eyes are red from crying
Just the other day I picked up the phone to call you
But realized there wouldn’t be an answer
If only you could see the person Ive become
It would make you proud
There is so much I don’t know about you
I regret so much
I will see you soon
Just promise to look out for me
to shelter me
to keep me from harm
