Ode To That Lonely Girl

Crystal eyes glinting through
The bridge of your glasses.
Down below,
40 kg lump
Stuck in the tunnel of your throat.
How do you carry
5 litres of tears
Trapped in sunken eyes
Locked behind black bars
Of thick lashes?
Are you afraid of the flood?
That might sweep through
The face smeared with dirt of life,
Scraping back your lips,
Uncovering the fake smile
You've learned to put.
But don't you know,
5 litres of flood
Was never heavier than
40 kg sadness.
